  • A Document Sets is simply another Content Type
  • It is based on the folder content type and inherits many of its properties
  • A Document Set can contain any number of documents
  • You can make a Version of a Document Set
  • A Document Set is actually a Content Type
  • You can define Workflows for the Document Set
  • You can apply Information Management Policies to the Document Set
  • You can assign permissions for the Document Set
  • Metadata can be inherited by documents being added to the Document Set
  • You cannot create Folders inside a Document Set
  • You cannot use Metadata Navigation within a Document Set
